My name is Elena Toscano. I am an Italian multidisciplinary artist and I work from my studio in Milan.
My work explores themes of freedom, transformation and nature through an aesthetic that combines surrealism and abstraction.
In my paintings, I create dreamlike worlds made of harmonious shapes and large areas of color, with a strong and immediate visual impact.
I use a simple and accessible aesthetic to explore complex and profound themes, making my work open and relatable to a wider audience.
My artistic practice is shaped by personal experiences, motherhood, travel as a journey of discovery and transformation, and my continuous search for freedom and independence through choices that go beyond conventional paths.
A key strength of my work is its versatility. I move across different mediums and fields, allowing my artistic language to extend beyond painting into design, interior design, fashion and publishing. This creates a hybrid practice where art can take different forms while maintaining the same visual language and ideas.
